This year at the 2019 International Builders’ Show, TYPAR, the industry leader in weather protection, let its Southern roots come to life. With a rustic bar scene, cornhole games and Hatch prints surrounding the booth, there was no doubt that attendees were in for a Nashville experience the moment they stepped into the booth. 
Attendees got a firsthand look at the complete line of products that comprise the TYPAR® Weather Protection System—all of which are made with pride in the Nashville neighborhood of Old Hickory, Tennessee. As a system, these products are unrivaled in delivering the most complete, and capable defense against air and moisture for building envelopes. The latest addition to the TYPAR product lineup, TYPAR® Drainable Wrap was the star of the show. What makes it unique is the product’s ability to shed more bulk water than traditional house wraps through the added efficiency of an integrated drainage plane. The science behind TYPAR Drainable Wrap is a layer of multi-directional polypropylene fibers that diverts bulk water from exterior wall cavities and drains it away from the assembly, preventing the potential damage caused by mold and rot. The TYPAR team also welcomed the “Roll with TYPAR” social media contest winner, Ken Rose, from Reno, Nevada, who was selected among a number of entrants to accompany TYPAR to IBS 2019. He is an architect and a professor who has a strong passion for shaping the minds of our industry’s future leaders and contractors.
