Exceptional water holdout.

TYPAR Weather Protection System products are constructed from bicomponent microporous membranes which offer unsurpassed water holdout from rain. Designed to perform as a weather-resistant barrier that will prevent water intrusion, TYPAR® Building Wraps can help protect your wall cavity from water damage.

Optimal breathability.

A building wrap must breathe to prevent moisture vapor from being trapped in the wall cavity. The water holdout of TYPAR BuildingWrap is balanced, achieving a perm rating of 11.7. This optimal perm rating ensures that while water is prevented from entering the wall cavity, ideal levels of moisture vapor are allowed to escape.

Extraordinary tear strength.

The tear strength of TYPAR BuildingWrap is 5x better than the competition. Other building wraps can tear in the wind or from the rigors of the jobsite, and when they do, the building wrap is no longer an effective barrier.

Excellent surfactant resistance.

TYPAR Building Wraps stand up to wood tannins, cedar oils, turpentine, as well as soaps. This resistance minimizes degradation when in contact with these components, making TYPAR® excellent for installation under wood sidings and stucco.
