OLD HICKORY, Tenn. – TYPAR®, a trusted leader in high-performance weather-resistant building solutions, has announced the launch of FlangeFlash, an industry-advancing double-sided flashing tape designed to deliver superior durability, flexibility and ease of installation. This innovation builds upon TYPAR’s comprehensive lineup of wraps, flashings, tapes and accessories, enabling building professionals to achieve unmatched weather protection on their projects.
TYPAR FlangeFlash is designed for flashing non-flanged doors and windows, forming a permanent mechanical bond between the window or door frame and the exterior wall. It simplifies this critical detail and provides a verifiable air and water barrier. This double-sided, self-sealing flashing tape combines the strength of TYPAR® Commercial building wrap with a high-performance all-temperature adhesive. It’s the only product of its kind providing 12 months of UV resistance and a wide application temperature range from 0° to 180°F/-17° to 82°C, allowing year-round installation without compromising quality. TYPAR FlangeFlash adheres to AAMA standard 711-13 for flashing tapes and requires no additional primers or adhesives, making it an essential tool for improving efficiency on construction sites.
“With the addition of TYPAR FlangeFlash, building professionals can install a full package of high-performance TYPAR wraps, flashings, tapes and accessories proven to protect homes and buildings from the elements,” said Soujanya Muralidhara, product manager, TYPAR. “Particularly in multi-family projects with lots of openings, this is a game changer. FlangeFlash is the latest evidence of TYPAR’s commitment to the multi-family segment and rounds out our complete, full lineup of solutions.”
FlangeFlash includes an easy-release liner to speed up installation and features clear adhesive to eliminate messy residue. Its robust construction enhances nail sealability while ensuring long-lasting protection against air and moisture infiltration. FlangeFlash is covered under TYPAR’s lifetime limited warranty* when installed as part of the complete TYPAR® Weather Protection System.*
A key component of TYPAR's comprehensive Weather Protection System, FlangeFlash provides architects, contractors and builders with advanced solutions to meet the challenges of modern construction. By integrating this innovative product into the lineup, TYPAR continues its commitment to delivering high-performance materials that simplify installation while offering superior durability.
